Iodine and aerosol-iodine filters
They are designed to prevent the release of radioactive contaminants into the air. This issue remains a major concern in the environmental and radiation safety of nuclear power plants, industrial facilities, and medical establishments. Aerosol-iodine filters provide a combined method of air purification from aerosols of any origin (including radioactive ones) and gaseous molecular compounds of iodine and its organic derivatives. Adsorber filters are specifically designed to reduce radioactive emissions into the atmosphere through the chromatographic sorption of inert radioactive gases and the removal of radioactive iodine compounds at nuclear power plants and other nuclear facilities.
