Iodine Filter-Adsorber FAG-83

PURPOSE

The filter-adsorber is designed to reduce radioactive emissions into the atmosphere by chromatographic sorption of inert radioactive gases, as well as purification from radioactive iodine compounds at nuclear power facilities.

The FAG-83 filter-adsorber is part of the special gas purification system at nuclear energy facilities.

FEATURES

The FAG-83 filter-adsorber is located in the controlled access area and complies with the climatic design "T", category of placement "4", and atmosphere type "IV" (according to the requirements of GOST 15150).

The filter-adsorber functions in all normal operation modes of the OIAE, including start-up and shutdown, operation at full capacity, and transient modes.
